Bull in the Backstreets

Bull in the Backstreets

Bull in the Backstreets

A big bull moose crossed the road while I was driving on highway 9 in Silverthorne one morning. I followed him as he sauntered through the backstreets of Silverthorne until he disappeared into the willows near Annie Road and Brian Ave. He reappeared and climbed up over the ridge into the National Forest behind the town. The locals tell me that he is a regular. The new overnight snow and aspen tree colors provide a beautiful setting. There is even some snow resting in his antlers. This is the mating season. The moose should be rutting. This guy was probably in search of a female.

Bull in the Backstreets was published as the cover photo of the Summit Daily News, Summit County, Colorado.

  2. Hello Rich
Très jolies photos ! Toutes nos félicitations pour la photo de couverture

  3. Rich, whaddaya mean, “the locals”? Own up now, you’re a local yourself, aren’t you?!

Agree with Rod about the beautiful framing with the yellow leaves; that can proudly hang anywhere, no bull. L
